The most commonly attached squad is the support squad. Each fire team replaces one of its ordinary riflemen with a M71 portable missile launcher. This is able to fire anti-personal rounds or anti-tank rounds and it provides a much needed boost to the squad’s firepower.
The support squad is comprised of:
Four line fire teams with the standard equipment of M3 Assault Rifles, and one M607 Light Repeating Laser. Six support teams with a M71 portable missile launcher to supplement its full complement of M3 Assault Rifles and its M607 Light Repeating Laser.
