Occasionally, and especially in built up or urban areas, a Centuria may request additional combat squads to increase its manpower. The combat squad is vulnerable to enemy armour having only two support teams, but when fighting infantry its extra rifleman can make all the difference in a firefight or assault.
The combat squad is comprised of:
Eight line fire teams with the standard equipment of M3 Assault Rifles, and one M607 Light Repeating Laser. Two support teams with a M71 portable missile launcher to supplement its full complement of M3 Assault Rifles and its M607 Light Repeating Laser.
